ONE of Australia's leading promotional products companies has been awarded the highest possible honour at the Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) National Awards.

Execugifts, based on the Gold Coast, has been inducted into the MEA Hall of Fame, having achieved the top award in the category of Conference Support Products for 2004, 2005 and now 2006.

Meetings and Events Australia, which represents the interests of more than 1800 members, is a national organisation dedicated to fostering professionalism and excellence in all aspects of the meetings, conventions and business events industry.

Teresa Dawson, joint-director of Execugifts and half of the husband and wife team which heads the company, says winning the award was a major objective for the company, which began operating in 1995.

Execugifts specialises in conference, corporate and promotional merchandise such as satchels, speakers and delegate gifts, fundraising items and motivational incentive rewards.

The company's turnover has more than tripled in the past five years, leading to a tripling of staff and a major investment in new showroom and office premises at Helensvale, on the Gold Coast.
