PLANS for a long-awaited supermarket at Casuarina Beach have moved a step forward with developer Consolidated Properties locking in a deal for a Coles-anchored convenience centre as part of its proposed $650 million Casuarina Village town centre development. Consolidated managing director Don O'Rorke and partner Kieran Cox have secured a commitment from Coles for a 2500sqm full-line shopping centre to service the needs of Casuarina residents and those in neighbouring coastal communities.

The supermarket will form the anchor for the proposed Casuarina Village project, plans for which will be finalised this year and which will transform a vacant 20-hectare beachfront site in the centre of Casuarina Beach, providing long overdue convenience-based shops and services.
