AUSTRADE and KPMG have announced a new alliance agreement that will create an expanded business services network to encourage and assist Australian businesses entering international markets. This alliance leverages the expertise and global networks of both Austrade and audit, tax and advisory firm, KPMG, and will provide expanded services, support and information.
KPMG and Austrade will extend their services to help the clients of both organisations and the wider Australian business community expand internationally by providing a range of professional and advisory services and support, market research and promotional activities. Austrade chief executive officer, Peter O'Byrne, says the alliance will benefit Australian businesses by helping them to improve their understanding of the international marketplace and equip them with the necessary tools. "Austrade is delighted to be working with KPMG to promote awareness of the benefits of exporting through the provision of valuable services, advice, networks and support to better equip Australian businesses looking to expand into international markets," Mr O'Byrne says. KPMG's national managing partner, Regional Markets, David Dunn, is enthusiastic about the opportunities for Australian businesses to grow in Asia. "Going into new markets may be daunting for some, but by leveraging the combined resources of Austrade and KPMG, companies can increase their knowledge, confidence and resources to capitalise on the enormous potential of international, and in particular Asian, markets," Mr Dunn says. The agreement between Austrade and KPMG is a part of Austrade's Corporate Partnerships Program through which the Australian government agency joins together with private sector service providers on a non-exclusive basis to enhance understanding of exporting in the business community and extend services available to Australian businesses looking to grow internationally.
