THE Gold Coast's own Michelin star chef, Meyjitte Boughenout, and his wife Debbie are extending their distinctive Absynthe gourmet food experience from Q1 to Circle on Cavill. In addition to the highly acclaimed Absynthe restaurant at Q1, the pair has opened Absynthe Bakery at Circle on Cavill, providing the only true French patisserie encounter on the Gold Coast.

The Absynthe brand name has brought a new wave of international gastronomy to the Gold Coast in what can only be described as a major coup for the city. The Minister for Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development, Margaret Keech, officially opened the bakery on Bastille Day, heralding the store, and the Circle on Cavill development, major drawcards in bringing locals back to Surfers Paradise.
