OUTRIGGER on the Beach at Salt has won the Tweed Business of the Year Gold BEX Award.

Outrigger was judged the 'best of the best' in the Tweed Business Excellence Awards - otherwise known as the BEX Awards, a shire-wide initiative of the Chambers of Commerce. This year's awards attracted a record 160 entries, that were judged against comprehensive criteria by senior staff at the Southern Cross University.

Competing in two out of 14 categories, Outrigger, represented by general manager Gerd Beurich, also won the Tourism & Hospitality Award, and was a close runner-up in the New Business under two years category.
