TWO Gold Coast companies have announced their listings on the ASX.
Retail Food Group Ltd, a company associated with franchises Donut King and bb's cafes, was announced on June 22, while developer and body corporate management leader Samtay Group has sold its body corporate and strata management business to the listed Australian Institute of Property Management Limited (AIPM).
Retail Food Group is the 218th listing on the ASX for the 2005-06 financial year and the 89th new listing for the 2006 calendar year.
The Samtay sale, announced to the Australian Stock Exchange on July 10, relates to Strata Title Management, one of Australia's largest body corporate and strata management companies and a subsidiary of the Samtay Group. Industry sources reveal the sale price to be around $10 million. Cameron Davis, managing director, Samtay Group, will retain an ongoing role in the business.
Samtay Group has a range of property developments throughout northern NSW and southeast Queensland and a workbook in excess of $380 million.
Mr Davis say he was looking forward to making a contribution to the growth of AIPM, which is looking to accelerate its strategic direction into the property services sector. Its existing business includes residential lettings and management.
He believes the restructure will broaden the depth of the Samtay Group through its involvement with a public company, as well as providing the scope to expand its property development and future financial services activities.
