GOLD Coast City Council's economic development branch has engaged local company The Centre for Independent Business Research to undertake a confidential survey into the nature and performance of businesses located in Gold Coast City.

Information collected from the survey will be used to analyse economic growth in the region and to assist Council in developing programs and initiatives to help local industries prosper and diversify.

The survey will continue through April and local businesses will be randomly contacted by representatives of The Centre for Independent Business Research. Businesses are encouraged to participate.

Data provided by individual businesses will be held in the strictest confidence.
