LOTUS Living Homes, a division of ASX listed LV Living Limited has developed a unique and innovative construction method to deliver new designer homes to the Emerald and Mackay housing markets in less than half the time of traditional building methods.

Using the SEETEK Building System that the company uses exclusively, the homes are less dependent for completion on those trades that are in short supply, meaning the delivery of a completed product faster, more confidently and with price certainty. 'Slab down' to handover normally takes eight to 10 weeks.

"At the core of the SEETEK Building System is the unique 'steel-foam-steel sandwich panels' which are used for all internal and external walls plus the ceiling," says Chief executive officer of Lotus Living Homes, David Brown.

"With the accompanying assembly system, the panels form the core of the home and inherently provide high strength, superior thermal performance and energy efficiency."

Mr Brown says with the present shortage of skilled trades and the jump in housing demand, the value of the SEETEK Building System is even more pronounced.
